Ewen Macintosh, The Office Actor Dies at 50, Reason Remains Uncertain!

Coworkers and friends are in sorrow for Ewen MacIntosh. The comedian and actor passed away. He was well known for portraying “Big Keith” in The Office U.K. He was fifty years old.

In the wee hours of February 21, MacIntosh’s management business, JustRight Management, made an announcement on X: “With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved comedy genius Ewen MacIntosh.” His family would like to thank Willow Green Care Home and everyone who helped him.”

The letter added that later this year, there will be a “celebratory memorial” after a private cremation service for friends and family.

Creator of The Office Ricky Gervais also paid tribute to his former co-star on X, calling the late actor the “very funny and very lovely Ewen Macintosh […] an absolute original” and expressing his sadness over the news.

MacIntosh contributed to several other British comedy series, including Miranda and Little Britain, in addition to The Office. His most recent acting credit, according to the BBC, was in the 2017 British romantic comedy Finding Fatimah.

Tributes for Ewen MacIntosh

Miranda Hart, who starred in the British sitcom Miranda from 2009 to 2015, paid affectionate tribute to MacIntosh, a former guest performer of the show.

“Thank you Ewen for making me giggle,” she wrote in a February 21 Instagram post alongside an image of the comedian and the following caption: “We encountered each other frequently while striving to be funny professionally at the same age. Although it was not consistently probable, we managed to accomplish it, and I am content that we were able to perform a scene together. Much obliged xx.”

Additionally, music executive Ed Scott honored his late friend MacIntosh and the legacy he left behind. “I am completely devastated by the loss of my very good friend,” he commented on Twitter. “He may have had a famous face known by millions as Keith from The Office but the person inside is what I will most remember.”

He further stated of MacIntosh, “Ewen was an exceptionally decent man who embodied compassion, benevolence, and honesty. “Sending condolences to his numerous friends and admirers, as well as his parents Sara and Ewen Sr, his brother Colin, and his family.”
