‘My Happy Marriage’ is a slow-burn romance manga about Miyo Saimori’s life. She is a mistreated daughter who is forcibly sent away to audition for a wealthy man who is the heir to one of Japan’s most powerful families during the Taisho period.
The Saimoris are a prominent family with a lengthy history and a lineage of people with extraordinary abilities. Miyo Saimori was the family’s firstborn daughter. Her parent’s marriage was arranged for political purposes.
It was a marriage intended to preserve this rare bloodline. At the time, Miyo Saimori’s father had a lover. Unable to go against his family’s wishes, he left her and agreed to the marriage. Miyo Saimori was the result of the loveless marriage.
