Delhi Government School Admission Form 2024-2025: Eligibility and Important Dates!

The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has started the application process for students in grades 6 through 9 who want to go to a government school. On April 8, at noon, the registration form for cycle 1 was posted on the DoE website, edudel.nic.in. The process will end at 5 p.m. on April 17.

The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) announced on April 8, 2024, that the online registration process for classes 6 through 9 at Delhi government schools for the 2024–25 school year has started.

As per the DoE release, online registration forms can be found on the official DoE website at edudel.nic.in since Monday at 12 p.m. and will end on April 17 at 5 p.m. The time to sign up for Delhi School Admission 2024 is split into three rounds. You can sign up for Cycle-I online starting today, April 8, and ending April 17, 2024.

Cycle II will happen from May 15, 2024, to June 15, 2024. Cycle III will happen from July 10, 2024, to July 31, 2024. On April 29, June 27, and August 12, the list of schools that registered prospects will go to will be shown.

Why Will There Be Three Cycles Available for Delhi Government School Admission Form?

For the 2024–2025 school year, the Delhi Government School Admission Form has three rounds to make the admissions process run smoothly. This is why:

Cycle-I (April 8–April 17, 2024):

Early Applicants: Parents who apply during this time have a better chance of getting in.

First Allotment: On April 29, the list of schools that Cycle-I applicants have been assigned will be shown.

Cycle II: From May 15, 2024, to June 15, 2024

A second chance for people who missed Cycle I or who want to think again about their decisions.

Second Allotment: On June 27, the list of schools that Cycle-II applicants have been assigned will be made public.

Stage III (July 10, 2024, to July 31, 2024):

Last Chance: For people who are late or who need more time.

Third Allotment: On August 12, the list of schools that Cycle-III applications have been given will be shown.

Are There Any Requirements for Filling out The Delhi Government School Admission Form?

Parents or guardians must include the following information and proof when they fill out the Delhi Government School Admission Form for the 2024–2025 school year:

Personal Details:

  • Child’s name
  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Residential address

Optional Information (Desirable but not mandatory):

  • Aadhaar Number/UID of the child
  • Bank account number, along with the name of the bank’s branch and its IFSC code

Essential Documents:

  • Date of Birth Certificate for the child
  • Proof of residence in Delhi
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability certificate (if needed)

Age Limit 

  • For admission to classes 6th to 9th, the following age criteria apply as of March 31, 2024:
    • Class 6: Student must finish/complete by the age of 10 years but less than 12 years
    • Class 7: Student must finish/complete by the age of 11 years but less than 13 years
    • Class 8: Student must finish/complete by the age of 12 years but less than 14 years
    • Class 9: Student must finish/complete by the age of 13 Years but less than 15 years
