Stimulus, within the realm of economics, refers to government-led initiatives aimed at boosting economic activity and offsetting downturns. These efforts involve injecting financial resources into the economy to stimulate spending, investment, and overall growth.

Common stimulus measures include direct payments to individuals, tax incentives, and increased government spending on infrastructure or social programs.

These initiatives are designed to enhance consumer confidence, prevent job losses, and support businesses during challenging economic periods, such as recessions or crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. The ultimate goal is to facilitate recovery, maintain financial stability, and minimize the adverse effects of economic downturns on individuals and businesses.
