Trigger Point Season 2 Ending Explained
Lana has been abducted by The Wave. After detonating a formidable explosive concealed within a motorcycle helmet, Alex is killed. Subsequently, Hope discloses to Lana the insurrectionist intentions of the terrorist organization to topple the government. Lana has been enlisted to assist in delivering the final, decisive blow by eliminating the Home Secretary, as part of the initial phase. However, in the absence of any observers, Lana clandestinely retrieves Alex’s phone from his pocket and conceals it.
Commander Francis has informed us that the Home Secretary will be visiting the Counter-Terrorism Headquarters for an urgent meeting. DI Batra considers it a perilous decision considering the existing level of threat, and he is correct in his assessment, as Hope intends to dispatch Lana with a substantial explosive device contained within a briefcase. A mobile phone acting as a detonator will set off the bomb.
Once Hope makes a call to the phone, the entire device will explode. In the final episode of season 2 of Trigger Point, Hope triggers an explosion at the Home Secretary’s feet. Nevertheless, the explosive device explodes inside the van rather than at the CTHQ, resulting in the deaths of Hope and her accomplice.
