Sex Education Season 3 Recap

She is particularly callous to the non-binary pupils at the school, and eventually, it becomes clear that her true motivation is to protect the school’s reputation rather than the welfare of the students.

This causes a full-scale uprising among the parents and investors of the school during a big school assembly. After a while, Mrs. Hope departs and is last observed trying to conceive a child through IVF.

The pupils’ joy is short-lived, though, as they quickly learn that Moordale’s investors have all stopped contributing money. Jean also has labor and seemingly life-threatening birth difficulties. The two grow closer as Otis turns to Maeve for comfort, and their nurturing relationship appears to be returning.

But then Maeve gets the news that she’s been accepted into the academic program in America, and the third season ends with her saying goodbye to Otis and departing the community of Moordale.

At the conclusion of season three, a number of terrible things happen, the most prominent of which is Moordale’s funding loss. In the season finale, it is revealed that Moordale will be closed and then sold. It appears that the school has lost all funding following the students’ sex act in front of investors and parents.

For the senior sixth-form students, who are just one term away from graduating, this is especially heartbreaking as they now have to look for other ways to finish their studies. It is possible, though improbable, that a kind investor will intervene and assist in reopening Moordale.
