Devoted viewers of the CBS show “NCIS” will be excited to know that the beloved duo Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo will return to the show. On February 28, Paramount+ approved 10 episodes of a spin-off series featuring the two characters. Ziva and Tony, often called “Tiva” by fans, will continue their narrative from where it ended in the original series. They ultimately became a couple, had a daughter named Tali, and relocated to Paris. The spinoff show will start in the new series, as stated in the statement.
What Is The Premise Of The ‘NCIS’ Spinoff With Tony And Ziva?
The NCIS spinoff series follows Tony and Ziva as they flee across Europe when Tony’s security organization is targeted in an attack. The characters need to identify their pursuer and rebuild trust among themselves. According to Weatherly and de Pablo, the series is a thrilling roller coaster ride filled with action, love, danger, tears, and laughter.
The upcoming show will be the sixth installment in the “NCIS” franchise, which includes series based in Los Angeles, New Orleans, Hawai’i, and Sydney, in addition to the original show.
Did Ziva And Tony Wind Up Dating On “NCIS”?
In Season 10 of the 2003-debuting original series, Ziva and Tony eventually reunited. It appears that the two shared a bed, but Ziva chose to remain in Israel while Tony went back to the US. In the Season 13 conclusion, which takes place over two years later, Tony finds out that Ziva perished in an explosion at her Tel Aviv house and left behind a daughter, Tali, who is their daughter. Then, he departs from “NCIS” to take care of their child.
It eventually comes to light that Ziva staged her demise and fled to protect herself and Tali. Tony and Ziva are thought to have reconciled (off-screen) in Paris in Season 17, following the resolution of the threat to Ziva’s safety, and are preparing to raise their kid together. As of yet, no debut date has been disclosed. Production on the show is anticipated to begin later this year.
