“Evil” will end with its upcoming Season 4 at Paramount+.
In June 2022, the show received a fourth season renewal; however, at the time, it was not announced that this would be the last season. The show’s upcoming episodes will premiere in May, and Paramount+ has ordered a further four episodes to round off the season. In the upcoming weeks, New York City will see the start of production on the new episodes.
A teaser trailer can be seen below.
“We are grateful to Paramount+ for providing us with four additional episodes to bring “Evil” to a spectacular conclusion,” expressed co-creators, showrunners, and executive producers Robert and Michelle King. “We shall miss the cast and this show. It was an ideal endeavor in many respects, but tragically, evil will always triumph against “evil.” I’ll see you in May.
“Evil” made its broadcast debut on CBS in 2019. When it entered its second season, it was moved to Paramount+. While Season 3 aired in 2022, Season 2 made its premiere in 2021.
Paramount+ executive vice president of programming Jeff Grossman commented, “Robert and Michelle King created a unique and deeply entertaining way of exploring the intersection of religion and science.” “We express our gratitude to Robert, Michelle, and the extraordinarily brilliant cast and crew of “Evil,” and we are immensely pleased of all of their hard work on the show. We are eager to find out what will happen to these people in what promises to be an exciting, suspenseful, and thrilling final season.
The show “examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion,” according to the description, and it is a psychological puzzle. Starring in the show are Michael Emerson, Andrea Martin, Kurt Fuller, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Herbers, Christine Lahti, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco, and Dalya Knapp.
David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, stated, “It’s hard to underscore the ability of Robert and Michelle King to cleverly craft thought-provoking stories that push creative boundaries time and time again, and ‘Evil’ is no exception.” As we celebrate this final season of “Evil,” we’re delighted to call them partners and want to thank Liz Glotzer, the entire cast, and the crew for creating these nuanced characters that come to life year after year.
Sam Hoffman, Liz Glotzer, and Rockne S. O’Bannon serve as executive producers for the show in addition to the Kings. Executive producing under King Size Productions, which is under a CBS Studios overall deal, are The Kings and Glotzer. The show is produced by CBS Studios. Paramount Global Content Distribution handles the series’ foreign distribution.
The CBS drama series “Elsbeth,” a spinoff of the popular series “The Good Wife,” will be the next venture for the Kings. Carrie Preston will play Elsbeth Tascioni in this series.
With the announcement of its last season, this is the second former CBS series that has been transferred to Paramount+. Back in November, the military drama “SEAL Team” declared that its seventh and final season would be its last.
