Tucker, formerly regarded as one of the Pirates’ most promising prospects, has spent the past few seasons bouncing between the minor leagues and the major leagues. Tucker reported to spring training in Arizona after signing a minor-league contract with the Seattle Mariners, following a season in the Rockies’ minor league system.

The spouse of Hudgens is a shortstop for the Seattle Mariners in Major League Baseball. In the first round of the 2014 MLB draft, the Pittsburgh Pirates selected him when he was still a player. In addition to playing for the Colorado Rockies, he made his Major League Baseball debut with the organization in 2019.
“With the Pirates, I feel like I went through so many different emotions,” Tucker said to AZ Central in June 2022. “When I was a 17-year-old senior in high school, they drafted me, helped me go to the major leagues, and I had success with them. There are so many wonderful individuals there, and I’m truly grateful and humbled by it all.
