Tom Holland, the attractive and well-known actor from Spider-Man, is a household figure; unfortunately, his salary for playing Peter Parker, the superhero, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was sent to the wrong home.
The British actor Tom Hollander, who is well-known for his roles in “Pride & Prejudice,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “The White Lotus,” and “The Night Manager,” discussed the embarrassing moment when his agency sent him a “Avengers” bonus that was intended for the 27-year-old Zendaya. This happened on Monday’s episode of “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
Hollander narrated, “I went to see my friend who was doing theater in England for 300 pounds a week, you know, but doing great work, Chekhov, and I sat smugly in the audience having just done a BBC show for 30 grand or something which, you know, was going to get me through the next year or so.” “And I thought, ‘This is fantastic.'” I’m very successful, but my dear friend Peter is performing in this fantastic play, and I’m going to go see him afterward and tell him how amazing it was, a little patronizingly.
Everything was going well until the 56-year-old had a quick peek at his phone during intermission. After thinking to check my emails, the agency sent me an email that read, “Payment advice slip: Your first box office bonus for ‘The Avengers.'” stated Hollander. “I don’t think I’m in ‘The Avengers,'” I thought to myself.
Hollander discovered that his compensation was pitiful when compared to that of his younger colleague, which only served to heighten his discomfort.

Hollander applauded, “It was an incredible sum of money.” “More precisely, it was his initial box office bonus, not his salary.” “The initial box office, but not the entire haul.”
“And the amount was seven figures; it was the most money I’ve ever received,” he continued. “He was about 20 years old at the time.” “As a result, the smugness I recall having during the first half vanished in an instant.”

Hollander, who is currently conducting press for the upcoming FX anthology drama “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans,” in which he portrays Truman Capote and is represented by Ryan Murphy, acknowledged that having a name so similar to Holland’s in recent years has been “extremely difficult.”
He added, “Obviously, I don’t really get confused for him, but in non-visual contexts, I get confused for him all the time.” “So, when I talk to utility companies, they merely ask me my name. “Tom Holland?” they ask. since they are familiar with “Tom Holland.” Holland Tom? “No, that’s Tom Hollander,” I say.
He continued, “There are occasions when I’m presented to somebody’s incredibly eager, perplexed, and ultimately disappointed children. “My children are so excited to meet you,” they say. “Are they, though?” I ask.
He went on: “They emerge and ask, ‘Where is he?'” What is his location? They respond, “No, no.”
