My husband Fred also had stomach cancer along with kidney, gall blader, thyroid and liqumina. He to was a fighter (survived for 10 years). We were high-school sweethearts and were together for 65 years. He slipped away at 79 (4 days after his birthday) his last words to me were that he loved me and that he wanted me to go with him. (Someday).
