Son of “Sister Wives” actors Janelle and Kody Brown, Garrison Brown passed away at home in Flagstaff, Arizona, on Tuesday. He was twenty-five.
“Kody and I regret to inform you of the passing of Robert Garrison Brown, our lovely son. “He brought joy and optimism to everyone he encountered,” Brown posted on Instagram on Tuesday. “We shall be left speechless by the void his loss has left in our lives. Please respect our privacy and join us in paying tribute to his memory.
Variety received a statement from Flagstaff Police stating that Garrison passed away “as a result of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
Since it debuted on the network in 2010, Garrison has been a part of the popular TLC reality series. When it was first broadcast, Brown was a young child. The show follows his father’s polygamous lifestyle in Utah, where Kody is married to numerous people. Kody and Janelle were wed until their divorce last year.

Garrison expressed interest in joining the military once he reached adulthood. Despite his desire to enlist in the Army, Garrison ultimately joined the National Guard and, following the epidemic, moved out of his parents’ house and into his own.
TLC released a statement saying, “We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown.” “We send the Brown family our sincere condolences and deepest sympathies during this trying time.” Madison, Logan, Garrison, Gabriel, Hunter, and Savanah were the couple’s six children after Janelle and Kody were spiritually married in 1993. Janelle disclosed that she and Kody had split up in December 2022.
Kody’s relationship with his kids had gotten worse over time, as Janelle subsequently revealed in a candid interview, lamenting the difficult relationship her kids had with their father.

“My concerns are on the mental well-being of my youngsters. Gabriel has a profound sense of everything. She continued, saying that Garrison “just seems angry or sadder, like, he’s not as happy-go-lucky as he used to be.” He’s also the kid who doesn’t say anything, she added.
Kody acknowledged the distance that had grown between him and his kids in a subsequent acknowledgment that coincided with the release of an episode in May 2023, emphasizing his hope that in “time” they will be able to “just get over this.”
“I believe and hope that we will eventually move past this and feel comfortable around one another again. There’s not exactly an open door between Gabe and Garrison at the moment. He said, “They’re not willing to engage me.”
