Russell Crowe has sported a beard for the majority of his career, but on Monday, in preparation for some thrilling new film roles, he debuted with a shaved face. “Actor #20 is prepared by the actor.” “My first shave since 2019,” the 59-year-old “Gladiator” actor wrote alongside a photo of himself on Twitter.
Crowe, who has been sporting an enormously bushy goatee in recent years, appears decades younger in the photo due to her fresh-faced appearance and sparse stubble. Donning a black T-shirt and gray-rimmed spectacles, the Oscar winner regarded the camera with a solemn countenance in the photograph.
And while he stated that he had not shaved since 2019, it appears that the last time the Oscar winner displayed a clean-shaven visage was in 2012 for the promotion of “Les Misérables.” Additionally, he gained notoriety for his sophisticated appearance during his performance as mathematician John Nash in the 2001 film “A Beautiful Mind.”

Is He Preparing for Any Movie
Although Crowe has mainly avoided the spotlight over the last four years, his new appearance seems to be setting him up for plenty of cinematic action, and fans were embracing it.

Crowe is scheduled to play Hermann Göring, Adolf Hitler’s right-hand man, in the next film “Nuremberg,” which is set to start production in Hungary soon, albeit he did not reveal which movie role he was shaving for.
In addition to the historical drama, the Golden Globe winner has a packed schedule that includes appearances in the August release of the Marvel feature “Kraven the Hunter” and the upcoming spring thriller “The Beast in Me,” which is about an MMA fighter.
