On Friday, Megan Thee Stallion unleashed her scathing single “Hiss,” a punchy diss track that targets the doubters and detractors she’s faced throughout her career.
On the song, she made lighthearted comparisons to Kris Jenner and Mariah Carey while seeming to make pointed allusions to Drake and her ex-boyfriend Tory Lanez. But Nicki Minaj found her remarks hurtful.
Since Friday, January 26, “Hiss” has risen to the top of the streaming charts, garnering over 5 million listens on Spotify. It has also caused a stir in the rap scene and sparked a social media backlash among Minaj’s followers, who allege Megan insulted her explicitly in the song.
One of the most outspoken detractors of Megan’s song has been Nicki Minaj, who released her new album “Pink Friday 2” over two months ago. Minaj even recorded a response diss track called “Big Foot,” which has been climbing the streaming charts since it dropped on Monday.
Unless Megan reconsiders her remarks from “Hiss,” Minaj has threatened to release additional songs with the intention of destroying her career. The current state of knowledge regarding the dispute is as follows.
Nicki Minaj Answers with ‘Big Foot’ Diss Tracks
Megan Minaj took to X (previously Twitter) to express her dissatisfaction with the song and to promote her follow-up, “Big Foot,” which she published on Monday. This came as the internet was ablaze with hypotheses over Megan’s lyrics.
Given Megan’s height of 5 feet 10 inches and the fact that Lanez shot her in the foot, it seemed that the title was a reference to that.
In the song, which was made available for streaming along with an a cappella version, Minaj makes reference to Megan’s mother’s passing and asserts that Megan lied about the shooting event with Lanez, stating things like “F— you get shot with no scar?” and “Swearin’ on your dead mother when you lie.”
Megan is also accused by Minaj of using ghostwriters and sleeping with the partner of her closest friend. She asserts that Megan lied when speaking with CBS reporter Gayle King in 2022. Megan stated in the interview that she feared for her life during the Lanez incident.
Megan said to King, “I never put my hands on anybody.” “I never talked too loudly.” This was one of those occasions when things shouldn’t have gone out of control.
King later stated on Oprah’s website that she supported the musician and took Megan’s story of what happened that night seriously.
The fact that people continue to doubt her sincerity fascinates me so much. How is that possible? King penned. “After hearing what she has to say, consider: What does she stand to gain by lying? You’ve heard all the rumors.
Has Megan Reacted to the Diss Track by Nicki Minaj?
Megan has not yet responded to “Big Foot” explicitly, but on Friday she shared a picture of herself giggling on her Instagram Story after Minaj offered a sneak peek of the song. A request for response from Minaj’s representatives was not answered.

On X, Minaj claims that if Megan even slightly “breathes” incorrectly, she has five songs ready for release. Additionally, Minaj is requesting an apology from Megan about her remarks on “Hiss.”
She remarks about “Big Foot,” “I don’t think you want the next installment of this song.”
Responses of the Kanka Family to Diss
Richard Kanka, who lost his daughter Megan Kanka to a s*x predator who was not legally required to identify himself in his neighborhood at the time and who inspired Megan’s Law, is furious with MTS for dropping his daughter’s name carelessly in “Hiss”… the diss track that sparked this new feud between NM and Kanka.
From his perspective, Megan’s inclusion of the name of his deceased daughter in the profanity-laden song directed at Nicki is the epitome of contempt. He further observes that MTS’s apparent clarification of the law, despite the fact that she does so, does not alter his sour disposition.
Kanka discloses that the explicit and obscene use of his daughter’s name caused tremendous distress for his daughter and her family. Although he has not yet listened to the song in question, he has read the lyrics and it remains an absolute no-no.
