Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright to Split, Here’s Why!

After nearly five years of matrimony, former “Vanderpump Rules” cast members Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are divorcing. The news was disclosed by Cartwright on their podcast “When Reality Hits” on Thursday.

In the podcast episode, Cartwright, 35, stated, “Jax and I are spending time apart, and to take some space for the sake of my mental health, I have decided to move into a new residence.” “Many of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship,” she continued. “I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys because… we’ve shared so much of our lives with you guys.”

“Separation is Still Extremely Difficult to Discuss,” Says Cartwright

Cartwright, who and Taylor share a two-year-old son named Cruz, stated that the situation is “still extremely difficult to discuss.” “I am approaching the situation day by day,” she declared. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.” Cartwright concluded the podcast by requesting “prayers for us” and reassuring the audience that “everything will be fine” despite the marital difficulties.

Jax admitted to cheating on Brittany in the season’s second episode after suspicions about his infidelity dominated the premiere. He admitted that he may have gotten Faith pregnant due to their lack of protection. Brittany famously warned Jax, “Rot in Hell.”

While the couple originally stayed together, Jax broke up with Brittany later in the season, telling her, “I am not good at relationships. You deserve much better than I do. I just don’t think we can be together any more.” He went on to say, “This is completely unrelated to you. I need to make a few modifications. I’m not satisfied with myself. I dislike who I am, and it isn’t because of you. Look at all the trouble I’ve made this summer.”

Brittany later referred to it as a “kick in the head,” saying, “If it was going to come from anyone, it should have been me.” He had already embarrassed me a lot.”
