G20’s Production Delayed as Anthony Anderson Spent Whole Night in Emergency Room!

Following a scuffle on set that left him with minor injuries, Anthony Anderson spent the night in the emergency hospital, the Black-ish star revealed to fans early on Thursday.

Anderson described the event as a “movie set fight gone wrong” on Instagram, saying that it involved “me against two goons and a chair.”

In a lighthearted Instagram post on Thursday, Anthony Anderson make lightheartedly remarked, “He’s not as young as I used to be!” He then revealed, accompanied by a photo of himself on a stretcher, that he had sustained an injury while filming a combat scene for his forthcoming film “G20.”

“Overnight, I was admitted to the emergency room.” A brawl on a movie set that went awry. Two aggressors and I against a chair! Whoever it was did not win? Who would require the services of a stuntman? It is I myself, that is who! I am not as youthful as I once was! A CT scan and X-rays of my back revealed no fractures or breaks, only a profound contusion. However, that chair will never be the same again! “Bowed and bloodied, but never broken,” wrote Anderson.

Ouch.

Anderson shares a co-starring role in the political-action thriller “G20,” which also stars Viola Davis as Taylor Sutton, a U.S. president who, when a terrorist group seizes the G20 Summit, must utilize her extensive military and state leadership experience to defend her country. We are undoubtedly convinced.

Production Postponed Due to an Injured Actor

The film was scheduled to commence production last summer, but the actor’s strike caused a postponement. Subsequently, SAG-AFTRA granted “G20” permission to resume filming; however, Davis halted production in solidarity with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA, both of which were on strike at the time.

Davis stated at the time, “I adore this film, but I do not believe it would be appropriate for this production to advance during the strike.” “It is commendable that the producers of the project concur with this determination. JuVee Productions and I express our collective support for the actors, SAG/AFTRA, and the WGA.

The Development of the G20

In addition to Alexandra Starr, Marsai Martin, Ramón Rodrguez, Elizabeth Marvel, Sabrina Impacciatore, and Clark Gregg, “G20” features these individuals as well.

Prime Video will distribute “G20,” which was produced in collaboration with MRC Film; however, the film’s official release date is not yet known. Patricia Riggen is directing the film based on Noah and Logan Miller’s screenplay.
