Beginning this weekend, the “Saturday Night Live” producers will be revealing three consecutive episodes. As previously announced, controversial comedian Shane Gillis will be joined by musical guest 21 Savage as guest host on February 24. March 2 marks Sydney Sweeney’s debut as host, with musical guest Kacey Musgraves. On March 9, Josh Brolin will make a third appearance as a guest host, this time with musical guest Ariana Grande.
Jost and Che are back to headline “Saturday Night Live’s” Weekend Update, as they have been doing since September 2014. They hold the record for being the longest-serving pair in Weekend Update history, having been together since the 47th season two years ago.
With its 97th award overall from the most recent Emmy Awards, the variety series became the biggest winner in Television Academy history. “Game of Thrones” is the next closest program in second position, with 59 Emmys, for comparison’s sake.

Ariana Grande and Kacey Musgraves to Promote Their Upcoming March Album
Next month, Saturday Night Live will feature performances by both Ariana Grande and Kacey Musgraves in support of their forthcoming March album releases, the NBC late-night comedy program announced Tuesday (Feb. 20).
Grande will join host Josh Brolin for the March 9 episode, while Musgraves will be joined by Sydney Sweeney, an actress from Anyone But You.

Next month, both artists will release new albums. March 8 will mark the release of Grande’s seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, which will be propelled by the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 single “Yes, And?” The title track will promote Musgraves’ sixth studio album, Deeper Well, which will be released on March 15.
Prior to this appearance, Grande has appeared twice on SNL: once in September 2014 as the musical guest and again in March 2016 as both the host and performer. Additionally, this will be Musgraves’ third appearance on the program, having served as the musical guest in May 2018 and October 2021.
Regarding the Saturday Night Live hosts, Sweeney will make her début the following month, whereas Brolin has previously served in that capacity twice: in April 2012 and October 2008.
The previously announced lineup for this weekend features Shane Gillis, a stand-up comedian whose employment was revoked subsequent to the exposure of podcast clips containing ethnic slurs. Additionally, 21 Savage, whose album American Dream debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, is scheduled to perform as a musical guest. Both will be making their SNL debuts.
Saturday Night Live is available to stream on Peacock and airs on NBC on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT.
