Alyssa Milano is responding to the online trolls who flooded the comments section of her son’s Instagram account after she received criticism for requesting assistance in raising funds for the Little League excursion to Cooperstown, New York.
On Thursday, the Who’s the Boss? star shared screenshots of the remarks randos had left on the Instagram posts of her 12-year-old son Milo. Last month, Milano appeared on X and solicited donations from her followers in an effort to help her son’s travel baseball team raise $10,000. This prompted the barrage. The GoFundMe was initiated by Milano, and although it has surpassed its initial objective, the campaign has subjected the actress to an inundation of criticism.

The subsequent day, in response to the intense blowback, the Charmed star revealed via Twitter that she had been “receiving media inquiries regarding potential financial contributions to my son’s baseball team.”
“I’ve paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown bday parties and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues,” she elaborated. “The children also organize car washes, movie nights, and numerous other enjoyable fundraising events!” Gratitude is extended to everyone who has donated to the gofundme. Your assistance has significantly simplified matters for these young individuals and their families.”

However, Milano posted a screenshot of the remarks made by internet bullies on her son’s Instagram on Thursday. “She’s all over the news today because of this,” one troll said. She obviously has the money to have given your baseball team a $19,000 donation on her own. It’s absurd to ask those with middle-class incomes for assistance.”

Milano clarified that her GoFundMe campaign is no different from what any other parent does to assist their children and their kids’ teams in reaching a fundraising goal in the caption of the photo that exposed the upsetting remarks.

I’m not any different. “As much as I would love to cover all of the team’s and their families’ travel, lodging, food, and drink, uniforms, trading pins, and other team-related expenses—I just cannot afford to do so,” the caption on the photo said. “Perhaps in the future. Furthermore, my trolls would have something else to be spiteful about if I paid for everyone. Whatever your opinion of me, it is abhorrent to visit my diligent 12-year-old son’s Instagram page and post such offensive remarks. Give the youngsters some space. Allow them to engage in baseball. Donate nothing if giving is something you oppose. We would be grateful if you could contribute to support the team’s families.”
