There are a total of 4500 positions at the Health & Wellness Center under the National Health Mission, Bihar, with 3566 positions for men and 934 positions for women. Criteria for Eligibility to SHS Bihar CHO 2024
The school requirements and age limit for the position of Community Health Officer at the Health & Wellness Center under the NHM Bihar can be found below.
Required Level of Education:
From 2020 on, applicants must have a B.Sc. in Nursing or a Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) degree and have completed the six-month Integrated Curriculum of CCH at a recognized school or university.
On the other hand, you can finish CCH through IGNOU or another approved school.
Age Limit:
You have to be at least 21 years old to join. The oldest person that can join is 42 to 47 years old, depending on their gender and group as of January 1, 2024. See below for more information on the oldest age limit:
- UR(M) & EWS(M): 42 years
- UR(F) & EWS(F): 45 years
- BC & EBC (M & F): 45 years
- SC & ST (M & F): 47 years
People with Benchmark Disability can get an age reduction of 10 years, and departmental candidates can get an age reduction of up to 5 years, as long as they meet the necessary requirements.

SHSB CHO Application Fee 2024
Male applicants from UR, EWS, BC, or EBC groups must pay ₹500/- in order to be considered for a job as a CHO at the Health & Wellness Center run by the NHM, Bihar.
SC/ST male applicants and female applicants from any category will only have to pay ₹100/- by the due date. They can use one of the payment options given.

At the Health & Wellness Center in the National Health Mission, Bihar, Community Health Officers (CHOs) get paid a total of ₹40,000/- every month. There are two parts to this amount: the set pay scale is ₹32,000/- and the performance-linked payment is ₹8,000/-.
