Brian Gaskill Bids Farewell To Genoa City: A Look At His Departure From ‘The Young And The Restless

As Seth on “The Young and the Restless,” actor Brian Gaskill has announced that his time in Genoa City is over. In the Tuesday, March 5 episode, his character was shoved into oncoming traffic, killing him. Gaskill wrote on his Instagram page, “Yeah, that occurred. News spreads extremely fast these days between social media and the Internet in general. (And if you haven’t seen it already, do it now.) I’ve heard that Los Angeles might be preempted, so search for Times or check out Paramount+.

On the Monday, January 8 episode of “The Young and the Restless,” Gaskill made his on-air debut. Fans were informed that his character would be engaging with Nikki Newman, played by Melody Thomas Scott, as one of the AA meeting attendees she connects with. Regarding what’s coming up in his plot last week, Gaskill said to fans on X (previously Twitter) that “it’s only the beginning.”

It turns out that he intended it to be the start of the end for his character, primarily because Jordan (Colleen Zenk) had discovered Seth’s covert scheme involving Nikki and was forced to get rid of him quickly to avoid being apprehended by the police.

To keep things straightforward, she concocted a falsehood to dispel any idea that she had pushed Seth, saying that his purported final words to Nikki were to apologize. Even though Seth is no longer in the picture, Jordan still has a difficult journey ahead of her, despite her changing identities. Victor (Eric Braeden), in the Friday, March 8 episode, assigns her a deadline.
