The pilot of international celebrity Karol G’s private aircraft detected smoke in the cockpit, prompting an emergency landing in Van Nuys on Thursday night. As the Grammy-winning Colombian reggaeton artist got off the aircraft and embraced friends and acquaintances on the tarmac, AIR7 HD passed overhead.
With sixteen people on board, the plane took off on Thursday night from Burbank Airport and headed east. However, as soon as it passed the Cajon Pass, the pilot reported an issue while the plane was still in the air, and it circled back.
Around nine o’clock at night, the aircraft touched down at Van Nuys Airport without incident, and emergency personnel welcomed it with open arms. The singer’s arm is tattooed with the barbed-wire heart insignia, which is used as decor on her aircraft.
