Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, has criticized Bethenny Frankel in public for her recurring derogatory remarks regarding his son’s relationship with Taylor Swift. The Newsweek article “Bethenny Frankel doubles down over Travis Kelce comments” was shared by Ed on his Facebook page on Friday.
Ed characterized Frankel as a “troll” and cast doubt on her applicability in his comment. A video was incorporated into the article in which Frankel, 53, voiced concerns regarding the durability of Swift’s partnership with the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.
What Was Frankel’s Reply?
Frankel asserted that effort and labor are necessary for real-life relationships, particularly those involving children and marriage.
“Real life, including having children, getting married, and other similar matters, is not a simple journey; relationships require effort.” And it is difficult, given that Taylor Swift is undeniably a peacock. Therefore, in most relationships, only one peacock is permitted, according to Frankel.
Fans expressed their approval of Ed’s post, praising him for defending the relationship of his son. One user referred to him as a “legend,” whereas another voiced gratitude for the Kelce family.

Certain commenters criticized Frankel for her remarks, labeling her a “Jabroni” and alleging that she mentioned the Kelce family in an attempt to remain pertinent. In general, fans responded positively to Ed’s post, praising his defense of his son’s relationship while criticizing Frankel’s remarks.
His ardent defense of his son was well received by fans, constituting a significant triumph for individuals who are becoming increasingly disillusioned with the prevailing culture that prioritizes contentious remarks and cyberbullying. Swift and Kelce initiated their romantic partnership in the early summer of 2023 and have been together since September of that year.
But if Frankel is right and Taylor and Travis are both “peacocks,” at least they’re going in the right direction: During the pop star’s break on the Australian part of her Eras Tour over the weekend, they went on a date to the Sydney Zoo. Later, the football star went to Accor Stadium to see one of his girlfriend’s shows. He was seen dancing with Katy Perry and Rita Ora and giving guitar picks to fans.
“Travis and Taylor have no plans to get engaged this summer,” the insider stated of the unfounded claims. “Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.”
After his team defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime, Travis joined Swift on the international leg of her Eras Tour. The twosome were spotted together in Australia before Travis headed to Las Vegas over the weekend. Swift will next tour Singapore and Europe before returning to the United States for additional gigs.
