In June 2022, Michael Fairmantv.com announced that the characters Lani and Eli Grant would be removed from the storyline to accommodate the exits of Archey and Stowers. Actors Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers will make a brief return to “Days of Our Lives” on the episode airing on Thursday, February 29.
Archey mentioned that he appreciates working with Stowers, and their friendship extends beyond their work on “Days of Our Lives.” Since I knew her before we collaborated on the show, there was no need to reacquaint ourselves or overcome any awkwardness.
Eli and Lani are returning to Salem to support Lani’s mother, Paulina, who is recovering from surgery after a significant medical diagnosis. Archey now plays Principal D’Angelo Carter on “All American” on The CW, and Stowers is currently in the latest season of the Tyler Perry-created drama “Sistas” on BET. Stowers portrays the character of Penelope in the show.
