Even though Disney+’s first eight episodes of Percy Jackson and the Olympians did well, there’s still no word on whether the show has been picked up for a second season.
We might not know for a while what will happen with the series, but Forbes gave us more information about the chance of a new episode. The news source says that the show’s makers have said they want to make five seasons, one for each of the five best-selling books in the series. In other words, if Percy Jackson and the Olympians get picked up for another season, the story will probably be based on The Sea of Monsters, the second book.
Also, it sounds like at least one cast member would be back if the show did come back. Walker talked about the idea of more seasons of Percy Jackson and the Olympians on an episode of the Zach Sang Show show.

Another thing Walker said was that the second Percy Jackson book is “a lot darker” than the first. “I don’t know if they’re going to do it, because it’s just such a shift,” he said.
