Like a lot of other historical anime, Kingdom draws its inspiration from real-life individuals who helped to make China into one of the most formidable countries in the Warring States Period. Fans will have several more seasons to keep them entertained because the anime is still far behind the plot of the manga, which has over 700 chapters.
