Disney+ is currently offering the fifth new episode of the second season of I Am Groot, which has baby Groot going on absurd adventures. Despite the fact that the entire season only lasts for around 20 minutes, Marvel Cinematic Universe enthusiasts will undoubtedly enjoy the many undiscovered intricacies.
A tiny allusion to Eternals, the 2021 movie that introduced a new cast of heroes to the series, is one example of an easter egg. In “Groot’s Sweet Treat,” the fourth I Am Groot short, Groot comes upon an ice cream shop filled with fascinating alternatives. A closer inspection reveals that one of the candies resembles Arishem.
Just in case you forgot, the Prime Celestial who is in charge of regulating the genesis of life on Earth is Arishem the Judge. The Deviants on Earth were likewise created as a means to an end, and he created the Eternals to combat them. Below, you can see a picture of Arishem from Eternals next to his ice cream cone from I Am Groot:
Was James Gunn a Part of the Production of I Am Groot?
The three Guardians of the Galaxy films are James Gunn’s most well-known works, although most fans are aware that he is currently managing DC Studios and that his tenure at Marvel has come to an end. “I believe he had a great deal of faith and trust in us, particularly following Season 1.
Kirsten Lepore, who previously discussed the upcoming season and Gunn’s involvement with ComicBook.com, helmed the second season of I Am Groot. The second season of I Am Groot was not created by Gunn, but he did offer his approval.
James gave us the thumbs up, so I took that as his approval and thought, “Okay, we got our groove, we’re doing our thing.” “I believe we’re ready for Season 2,” Lepore remarked. “He made this character, so his DNA and fingerprints are always in there.”

Will Eternals 2 Happen?
Rumors have it that an Eternals 2 is being developed, but Marvel has not released an official statement on the matter. There have been a few oblique allusions to Kumail Nanjiani’s character Kingo in other works since the release of Eternals. He appeared on a poster in Los Angeles for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and was mentioned in Ms. Marvel the previous year.
In an interview with Total Film earlier this year, Nanjiani stated he wasn’t sure what his future with Marvel would hold (via Games Radar). Even if it’s difficult to believe Marvel stars these days, Nanjiani seems to be being honest with the publication.
Indeed! Listen, I have things planned for today. When asked about Kingo’s comeback, Nanjiani replied, “I’m not sure if they have any plans.” “I would adore returning. However, I’m kind of waiting to find out whether or when it will occur.

My goal is to be able to do more. I thoroughly enjoyed portraying that character. We would be sad if he’s more of a one-shot kind of guy. But as you can see, I’m not the one making the decision.” Disney+ offers I Am Groot for streaming.
